Court case of WWE doctor Chris Amann vs CM Punk continues

The court case of WWE doctor Chris Amann vs Phil “CM Punk” Brooks continued this past Monday at the Circuit Court of Cook County under the judge Janet Adams Brosnahan.

The judge gave both parties involved time to file amendments or additional amended pleadings with a deadline of October 19 for CM Punk and November 2 for Amann. On November 24 the judge will review the papers and then either dismiss, strike, or withdraw allegations.

The case was opened on February 19 of this year when Dr. Chris Amann filed a libel/slander lawsuit against Brooks and his friend Scott Colton, otherwise known as Colt Cabana, for their explosive podcast a few months earlier accusing Amann of several shortcomings and misdiagnosing Punk’s health issues.

CM Punk and Cabana are being assisted by attorney Daniel Saul Brenner while Amann is being represented by the Chicago law firm Deutsch, Levy & Engel.

Amann has sued for $1,000,000.
