UFC replaces Brock Lesnar with Stipe Miocic for UFC 241 against Cormier

In case you were still skeptical about Brock Lesnar’s true intentions of retiring (again) from the UFC, the company announced that the August pay-per-view will be headlined by Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic.

This was the event that Lesnar was supposed to take on Daniel Cormier for the UFC Heavyweight title but Lesnar, after requesting a large sum of money to be part of the show, hung up his gloves after the UFC deemed the price to be too high. UFC is now in business with ESPN+ and offers pay-per-views online only, cutting out every traditional pay-per-view provider.

Lesnar was drug tested twice by USADA this year and rumors that he retired because he failed a drug test are false. USADA tests are public and so far no such information has been published to corroborate that rumor. After re-entering the UFC drug testing pool in July of last year, Lesnar was tested seven different times.

UFC 241 takes place from the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
