VICE issues statement, denies Dark Side of the Ring is canceled

VICE TV issued a statement last night following the reported news that came over the weekend that they had canceled the Dark Side of the Ring series.

“We’ve heard some rumors flying around about Season 4 of Dark Side of the Ring,” the statement read. “We are as committed as ever to both the series and the broader Dark Side franchise. Evan and Jason are hard at work making more content that we know our fans of the series will love. Stay tuned.”

Dave Meltzer of the Observer originally reported that the series was canned due to the fallout from the Plane Ride From Hell episode.

The Dark Side of the Ring series was omitted from VICE TV’s press release announcing the 2022/2023 programming which was issued last week.

The producers of the show are also working with Dwayne Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions on a new wrestling-related series for VICE.

Wrestling-Online.com reached out to VICE for further clarification on the statement and some questions concerning season four but no reply has been given at time of publication.
