Young Rock begins filming for NBC as Dwayne Johnson unveils first-look photos

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has uploaded some photos from the set of Young Rock, the new NBC comedy series based on his life, starting from when he was a very young…pebble!

Production kicked off in early October and started filming two days ago with the show set to premiere sometime in 2021. It will focus on the childhood years of Dwayne Johnson, growing up surrounded by professional wrestling and football. He will also be starring in the show as himself and will appear in every episode.

In the new photos published, the men portraying Junkyard Dog, Andre The Giant, The Iron Sheik, Ata Johnson, Rocky Johnson, and a very young Dwayne Johnson are featured. Johnson noted how both The Iron Sheik and Andre The Giant were regulars at their house and Sheik’s wife also had stints as his baby sitter.

Young Rock is being filmed under strict COVID-19 regulations at the Screen Queensland Studios in Queensland, Australia.

You can see the incredible photos below.
