Batista’s first MMA opponent replaced, fight still on for October 6

Batista’s first professional MMA opponent for this week’s show had to be changed as the original opponent – Rashid Evans (no relation to UFC’s Rashad Evans – had to be pulled out due to an unforeseen incident.

Replacing Evans will be Vince Lucero, stepping up in a week’s notice to fight the former WWE and World Heavyweight champion in his first pro MMA fight.

The fight will take place on a card which is being held at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The show is titled “Real Pain,” and is presented by Jimmy Burchfield’s Classic Entertainment & Sports in association with June Entertainment and 4zero1 Entertainment Group.

It will be available on pay-per-view on DirecTV and will be streamed live on www.bautistamma.com using the Vividas service.
