Paul Heyman doesn’t see Brock Lesnar getting back in the Octagon

MMAJunkie.com is carrying an article with quotes from Paul Heyman regarding Brock Lesnar’s future – or lack thereof – in the UFC.

Heyman noted that both UFC President Dana White and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta would love to have the former Heavyweight champion back for a fight or two, but Heyman doesn’t think Lesnar is up for it.

“Does Brock Lesnar want to go back? I don’t think Brock has anything to prove in the UFC anymore. He’s 35 years old. He made a lot of money in the UFC,” Heyman said.

Lesnar is one of the few UFC fighters who had massive gate money and pay-per-view fights for almost all his fights while fighting for the company, a testament of his true star power.

Heyman said that with all the injuries that Lesnar suffered, it would be stupid to risk another one when he doesn’t really need to, noting that his house, farms, cars, and everything else he owns are already paid for.

With a record of 5-3 in his short, but very profitable MMA career, Lesnar managed to win the UFC Heavyweight title in his third UFC fight, defeating UFC legend Randy Couture in the second round.

Paul Heyman also argued the fact that Lesnar belongs in the UFC Hall of Fame despite his record.

“Listen, here’s the thing: Look at the three that he lost to, number one. Number two, what if Brock Lesnar did what everyone else did and said, ‘Feed me a guy every other month for three years so I’ll get six victories a year. I’ll be 18-0 before you put me in there with a Frank Mir, a former UFC heavyweight champion, or Randy Couture and the legends of legends in UFC.'”
