Stomping Grounds 2019 PPV Pick’em report

Hello Everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA once again with tonight’s PPV Pick’em! Because it was Colin’s birthday this weekend (Happy Birthday Boss!), I’m going to give him one more crack at the WOPC Championship! ON WITH THE PICKS!

WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Triple Threat Match
Tony Nese (c) vs Akira Tozawa vs Drew Gulak

Colin: I don’t really follow Cruiserweights at all. For me, I have zero interest in this match. And I don’t care who wins. But if you insist, I guess I’ll go for Nese to retain.

Magnum: I’m very much understanding that Vince is a “What have you done for me now” type boss. Tozawa is hot – give me Akira to win the title for a second time!

WWE Tag Team Championship Match
Daniel Bryan and Rowan (c) vs Heavy Machinery

Colin: I would be very surprised if Heavy Machinery gets this one. And I don’t think they’ll give us a surprise. Daniel and Rowan wins and continue to save planet earth.

Magnum: I don’t want to get into a habit here, but I’m with Colin. Bryan and Rowan retain.

The New Day vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

Colin: Thinking since Kofi is winning, The New Day will lose this one. Don’t ask why I’m thinking like that. Because I don’t know. It just came to my mind as I’m typing this. Owens and Zayn win.

Magnum: All I can pay attention to…is the numbers. The numbers say KO and Sami are on a losing streak. Let’s keep that going. New Day wins.

WWE United States Championship Match
Samoa Joe (c) vs Ricochet

Colin: Man, I wish Ricochet was still in NXT. He was awesome there. Not that he’s not on the main roster, but booking is different. Samoa Joe retains.

Magnum: I think Rey Mysterio being out leads to another wrestler getting a shot. That could be Ricochet…but not tonight. Joe retains.

Roman Reigns vs Drew McIntyre

Colin: After Reigns got humiliated at Super ShowDown, I’m expecting some payback here. Didn’t think Reigns would lose in Saudi, but whatever. Reigns wins.

Magnum: I’m not sure if that’s exactly true. I’m feeling a “losing streak” storyline going on, continuing with tonight. McIntyre is slated to get a title shot at Summerslam…so here comes the push. McIntyre wins.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship Match
“The Man” Becky Lynch (c) vs Lacey Evans

Colin: Lacey has to get one over Becky some time. Don’t think it’s coming today. It’s too early to take the belt off The Man. They actually should have let her keep both titles for a bit. Becky wins via DQ.

Magnum: I think Becky finally gets an ass-kicking win to solidify her title reign. Becky retains.

WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship Match
Bayley (c) vs Alexa Bliss

Colin: I love Bliss. I think she’s awesome and looks way too cute. But she gets injured a lot and I don’t know if they’re ready to risk giving her another title run just yet. Plus, I’m waiting for Bayley vs Sasha for SummerSlam. Give it to us, dammit! Bayley wins.

Magnum: I don’t know – an Alexa Bliss documentary on the WWE Network after this show? I’ll take Bliss to win the title.

WWE Championship – Steel Cage Match
Kofi Kingston (c) vs Dolph Ziggler

Colin: I hope this match steals the show. It should. Adding a cage adds another element to it. Dolph deserves a title run, no doubt about that, but it won’t be coming today. Nope. Kofi wins, no cash-in.

Magnum: I’m rolling with the birthday boy – Kofi will finally get a big win as WWE Champion on PPV. I’ll take Kofi to retain. Who’s next on the horizon? Hopefully not Shane.

WWE Universal Championship
Seth Rollins (c) vs Baron Corbin

Colin: Why do they keep pushing Corbin down our throats? Why? Why? Why? JUST GET OFF MY F’N TELEVISION! Nothing against the guy personally, but the way his gimmick is just ticks me off. Seth Rollins wins, no cash-in.

Magnum: I mean, we’re not putting any points on the line regarding the cash-in, right? Well, all signs point to a heroic Rollins victory, followed by a cash-in. Rollins wins the match – everything that happens afterwards? Fun and games.

Alright everybody, we’ll see you next month for EXTREME RULES! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
