WWE Bad Blood 2024 Pick’em Report

Hey Everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA and we are BACK with the Pick’em report! Tonight, WWE is in the ATL for the return of Bad Blood! We’ve not seen this event since 2004, when Triple H and Shawn Michaels battled for nearly 10 days inside of Hell in a Cell. Okay, it wasn’t 10 days, but it sure felt like it!

For tonight, the WOPC Championship WILL be on the line, as both Colin and myself will walk through Hell in the hopes of walking out as the Champion of the Wrestling-Online Pick’em Crew. Tonight’s picks will be “Confidence” based, which means that we will put 5 points up for the pick with highest confidence…all the way down to 1 for the pick we’re least confident about. Who’s going to end up Champion? We’re about to find out.

ON WITH THE PICKS!

Hell in a Cell
CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

Magnum: This is it. The final chapter between these two. This has been nearly one year in the making – there’s no need to tell you the backstory, because you already know it. We’re told that this will open the show, but I don’t think anyone’s going to top it. This will be as barbaric of a match as you’ve seen in WWE all year. In the end, Punk will finally get his vengeance. CM Punk wins and moves on to bigger and better things. (Confidence Pool: 5)

Colin: I am not a fan of violent extreme matches and I was critical of AEW when they did it (see Swerve Strickland vs Adam Page). I don’t think they will staple each other to the face or do some crazy ass wicked shit like AEW does, but we will see blood, a lot. Punk will probably pull a Flair and have a crimson mask on and I can deal with that. It’s a HIAC match after all. Blood is fine when it’s not done every week and this match certainly calls for blood. Time for these two to wrap it up and move to different feuds and I’m picking Punk to have the last laugh. (Confidence Pool: 4)

Women’s World Championship Match
Liv Morgan (c) (with “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio) vs. Rhea Ripley

Dom will be suspended above the ring in a shark cage

Magnum: I have thoroughly enjoyed this program from start to finish. It feels like this is going to be the end of the feud, at least for now. Rhea’s quest to regain the title is going to come up short. Expect Dirty Dom to drop some brass knuckles or something like that to give Liv the edge. Morgan retains. (Confidence Pool: 3)

Colin: These two ladies have been “bringing it” for the past several weeks. I just love their dynamic. And add Dom to the mix and it’s magic. I would love Ripley to regain the title, but Liv is having an awesome time as champion and I actually don’t want her to lose it. I half expected this to be a Hell In A Cell match too, but I guess no gimmick matches for the women in this one. You know Dom is getting out of that cage somehow and Liv will retain. (Confidence Pool: 1)

Damian Priest vs. Finn Bálor

Magnum: This is basically Part II of the final chapter of the Judgment Day vs. their former members. The difference here is that Damian Priest is going to get the win. He needs a victory to put himself back in the title picture, and this is how he does it. Priest wins. (Confidence Pool: 2)

Colin: I’m really not that interested in this match. Not that I don’t think they’re great, because they are, but of all the matches on the show, this one is the least one that has my attention. Priest kinda fizzled out after his title loss and Balor’s always presented as a sidekick type. I miss NXT Finn Balor. Winner? Probably Priest. (Confidence Pool: 2)

WWE Women’s Championship Match
Nia Jax (c) vs. Bayley

Magnum: As I review the card, I’m seeing a familiar pattern. This is basically the champions from Mania 40 getting their last crack at the title before we move on to the build for Mania 41. I’ve gotta believe that Bayley leaves the title picture after this match, sadly. Whether Tiffy cashes in or not, I cannot say….but I’m certain that it’ll be Nia Jax that she takes the title from. (Confidence Pool: 4)

Colin: Let’s face it, Bayley is not getting her title back for now. I’m more interested in seeing Tiffany Stratton cash in on Nia Jax. I imagine that pop will be effin huge. I’m a Tiffy fan, by the way. Anyway, back to the match, no sense in having Bayley win this one, her title reign this year was a bit underwhelming to be quite honest. Nia retains the title. (Confidence Pool: 5)

Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns vs. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu) (with Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa)

Magnum: The OG is back. I’ve been looking forward to Roman’s return for some time, now. I can’t help but feel like we could see something big here – it could be the debut of lHikuleo, or even bigger….it could be the return of The Rock. As for the match itself, I feel like Cody and Roman will be able to stay in line and work together…but something is going to be off with these two. It will eventually lead to their downfall. In a massive upset,I’m going to take Solo and Fatu for the win. (Confidence Pool: 1)

Colin: Roman’s first match back…and it’s in a tag! I guess they sold 14,000 tickets to this one, so they can keep that solo return match to sell another show. Will Cody and Roman be able to coexist? Hm, highly unlikely, although I do think they will eventually win this match. Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa will for sure interfere in this one so I wonder who will even the odds! (Confidence Pool: 3)

All right folks! That’s going to do it for us! We’ll see you next time for the Pick’em report. @TheMagnumDA signing off.
