WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 PPV Pick’em report

Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA coming at you with another PPV Pick’em report. Today, live from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it’s the ELIMINATION CHAMBER – one of the last stops on the road to WrestleMania. Tonight, the WOPC Championship will be decided in a FATAL 4 WAY. The Champion (yours truly) will defend against three of his toughest opponents to date – the vicious Colin Vassallo, the benevolent Heel Turn Tom, and the manbeast known as Mantaur Mike. Who will go into WrestleMania as the WOPC Champion? Let’s find out!

ON WITH THE PICKS!

Falls Count Anywhere
Drew McIntyre vs. Madcap Moss (with Happy Corbin)

Mantaur Mike: Drew is the obvious favorite, but I’m going with the “Mad Crap” that is Madcap Moss. If anyone knows about crap gimmicks, it’s me!

Heel Turn Tom: As Mike said, I’ll go with the obvious favorite – Drew McIntyre.

Colin: My interest in this match is of level zero. Can’t believe they’re wasting McIntyre in this feud. Totally useless. I’m picking Drew for the win here.

Magnum: Theoretically, Moss could benefit from a huge win here, plus it wouldn’t hurt Drew all that much – he could make up for it with a Mania win against these clowns. Still, it’s about momentum, so I’m running with Drew here.

Women’s Elimination Chamber
Winner is #1 Contender to Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania XXXVIII
Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Bianca Belair vs. Doudrop vs. Nikki A.S.H. vs. Alexa Bliss

Mantaur Mike: I got a feeling that Doudrop is going to make an impact in this match. I think she could take the whole thing – give me Doudrop in a huge upset.

Heel Turn Tom: Bianca Belair – she’s going in last, and she wants revenge on Becky.

Colin: Considering how Bianca is still waiting for her revenge on Becky, I am putting my money on a Belair win here. Then again, Ripley was booked so strong on Raw and that doesn’t happen for nothing. While I’m seeing Becky vs Bianca as the match for WrestleMania, I wouldn’t be too shocked if Ripley is added to the mix too. This should be a good match, and one I’m looking forward to. Bianca wins.

Magnum: Bianca going in last makes me think they could book a shocking finish where she ends up losing. However, I can’t go against my gut instinct, so I’m taking Bianca to win this and return to WrestleMania as the #1 Contender for the Women’s Championship.

Ronda Rousey and Naomi vs. Charlotte Flair and Sonya Deville

Mantaur Mike: This one is a piece of cake – Rousey and Naomi dominate.

Heel Turn Tom: Rousey and Naomi will take this one with ease.

Colin: Ronda freakin Rousey is not losing in her first match since returning, right? Yeah, no she’s not. This should be all Naomi vs Deville and the other two Mania main eventers taking a back seat but I doubt that will happen. Rousey and Naomi win.

Magnum: I’m glad that Naomi and Sonya are going to get a PPV match here – this has been a very underrated feud on Smackdown over the last six months. I’ll take Ronda and Naomi to win here, with Naomi finally getting a little revenge on Ms. Deville.

Rey Mysterio (with Dominik Mysterio) vs. The Miz (with Maryse)

Mantaur Mike: I can’t stand the frat boy from Parma, Ohio, but give me The Miz to win this one.

Heel Turn Tom: I’m taking Rey Mysterio here – should be a great match.

Colin: If Maryse is there, she won’t be wearing her usual outfits, which makes this a boring match. LOL! Okay kidding kidding. With Rey being splashed all over the place for WWE 2K22, I don’t see him losing here. Rey Mysterio wins.

Magnum: Rey’s on the cover of the video game “WWE 2K22”, right? Very good – he’s not losing here. They’ve got video games to sell, damn it. Rey wins.

WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lita

Mantaur Mike: I’m part of the “Lynch Mob” – give me Big Time Becks to retain the championship and go on to WrestleMania as Raw Women’s Champion.

Heel Turn Tom: It’s awesome to see Lita, but I’m going to say Becky Lynch wins and retains her championship.

Colin: This should be a fun match but even Stevie Wonder can see this outcome coming from 10 miles away. There’s no way they’re putting the title on Lita, and she’s not booked for further shows I believe, so The Man comes to Saudi with the title and The Man leaves Saudi with the title. And the Nature Boy will still get mad about it. Wooooo!

Magnum: This is one match where I could actually see Lita winning (but not necessarily winning the championship). Having said that, if Becky is crowing about being champion for three years, then a loss right before Mania would be slightly embarrassing. So I’ll take Big Time Becks to win and retain.

WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Usos (Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso) (c) vs. The Viking Raiders (Erik and Ivar)

Mantaur Mike: The Usos got this one in the bag – Raiders don’t stand a chance. The Usos retain their titles.

Heel Turn Tom: The Usos will be victorious and retain their WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship.

Colin: You can never go wrong with The Usos in a match. They’re hard workers and a great tag team. Their latest run is phenomenal and I enjoy watching them work. I don’t see the Bloodline losing titles today, so Usos with the W.

Magnum: Until last night’s Smackdown, The Usos have completely dominated this feud. I don’t give the Viking Raiders a chance in hell – The Usos win it and retain their tag titles.

WWE Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (c) (with Paul Heyman) vs. Goldberg

Mantaur Mike: Paul E. will play a big role in this – I’ll take Roman Reigns to defend the title successfully.

Heel Turn Tom: I’m also rolling with The Tribal Chief – Roman Reigns defeats Goldberg and retains his WWE Universal Championship.

Colin: I am hoping this will be fast and furious and not more than 10 minutes on my clock. With entrances. Listen, I get why Goldberg still gets asked to do these matches. He’s a draw, he gets people talking, but I hate that every time he comes back it’s for the title just because he’s Goldberg. This is the Mania match we never got but Roman wins.

Magnum: If this goes longer than five minutes, I’ll be shocked. Goldberg has some pretty bad luck in these Saudi shows, although his last match with Lashley was pretty good. Still, Roman’s on a roll, and I don’t see that train slowing down anytime soon. Roman Reigns wins and retains the title.

Men’s Elimination Chamber – WWE Championship
Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins vs. Austin Theory vs. Riddle vs. AJ Styles

Mantaur Mike: I can’t go against the real BEAST, Brock Lesnar. He’s winning the Chamber match and becoming WWE Champion once again.

Heel Turn Tom: I’m also taking Brock Lesnar in this one – new WWE Champion.

Colin: I love Brock, but I’ll be pissed if he wins this one. Why take the title off him in the first place? I hate it when they flip flop titles this quickly. And the title for title shouldn’t happen unless the brand split is ending. Otherwise, I’m fine with two main titles. Anyway, rant over. Lesnar is the favorite to win, but I’m going to stick with Bobby Lashley as the champion and winner of this match.

Magnum: Part of me agrees with Colin – I’d love to see Lashley stun all of us and hold on to the WWE Championship. There’s another part of me that would love to see a dark horse like Riddle or Seth Rollins come out on top. Having said that, we all know where this is headed – Champion vs. Champion, title for title, Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns. Lesnar’s going to run roughshod through the competition, en route to his second WWE Championship this year. Give me Brock Lesnar to take the whole enchilada and become the new WWE Champion.

Well, there you have wrestling fans! We hope you’ll enjoy the Elimination Chamber event, and we will see you next time for the PPV Pick’em report! @TheMagnumDA signing off.
