WWE Hell in a Cell 2022 PPV Pick’em report

Hey everybody! It’s @TheMagnumDA with another installment of the PPV Pick’em report. This time, Colin and I will step into HELL and one of us will walk out with the WOPC Championship. Who will it be? Let’s find out.

ON WITH THE PICKS!!

2-on-1 Handicap Match
Omos and MVP vs. Bobby Lashley

Magnum: I wanted to originally pick Lashley in this match, but where would they go with Omos after this? His back is to the wall, and he can’t lose again…can he? I’m taking Omos and MVP in this one.

Colin: While adding MVP with Omos makes sense…I still don’t want to see him on TV for now! Lashley should be moving away from this and onto something better. Hopefully this will be the one that ends it. Lashley wins.

Ezekiel vs. Kevin Owens

Magnum: I really have to hand it to KO…somehow, he took a ridiculous storyline and he’s kept everyone entertained every step of the way. The inclusion of Otis and Gable made this even better. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Alpha’s try to help KO win…ultimately, I’m going to take Ezekiel here, for the same reasons as Omos…if he loses, all momentum would be lost.

Colin: Looking forward to this actually. Elias…err, Ezekiel has been great and Owens is fantastic in this role. This will probably continue beyond tonight and I’m expecting Ezekiel to pick up the win, although the end result in the future has to be Kevin Owens being proven right.

United States Championship Match
Theory (c) vs. Mustafa Ali

Magnum: This has been an embarrassingly bad storyline. The side players involved in this (Miz, Ciampa) haven’t helped in any way, shape, or form, and frankly it’s been a terrible use of Ciampa’s call-up to the main roster. Why isn’t that dude in Judgment Day yet? Anyways, Theory retains.

Colin: Were you surprised as much as I was when Ali returned? Didn’t think he would return to be honest. Theory as champion has been okay and I don’t expect him to lose the title this quick so Theory wins.

Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match
Finn Balor, AJ Styles, and Liv Morgan vs. The Judgment Day (Edge, Damian Priest, and Rhea Ripley)

Magnum: Judgment Day is going to need to keep the momentum going with a win here. The question becomes…is there anyone on the babyface team that will turn? Could more than one person turn? If Balor AND Liv joined and they all destroyed AJ, that would be incredible. Or maybe this is the moment for Ciampa to join? Either way, I like Judgment Day’s chances of winning and gaining a new member tonight.

Colin: Undecided on this one as it can go two ways in my mind – the faces win, or a new member joins Judgment Day and causes the faces to lose. With Edge continuing to tease that a new member will be added, I am leaning more towards that scenario but the trio of Balor/Styles/Morgan need a win eventually one of these days. But for today, I’m picking Judgment Day.

Triple Threat Match – WWE Raw Women’s Championship
Bianca Belair (c) vs. Asuka vs. Becky Lynch

Magnum: I am happy that Asuka is back, and she’s been a pretty entertaining foil for Big Time Becks. As for tonight, I wouldn’t be surprised if Asuka costs Becky the match somehow…in the end, I’m thinking that Bianca is going to retain tonight.

Colin: So instead of Belair vs Naomi, we get this. Not complaining, to be honest. Belair and Becky have a great chemistry together and Asuka is great so this match should be a good one. But there’s no way that Bianca is losing this one. Noooo waaaay! Bianca wins.

Hell in a Cell
Cody Rhodes vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins

Magnum: I keep going back to the big M word (momentum). All momentum for Cody would be lost if he didn’t get the win here. I know that he’s going into tonight’s match with a torn pectoral muscle, so depending on the severity of the injury, we’ll have to see what happens. If Cody’s alright, I bet this will be the best and wildest match of the trilogy. As long as he’s healthy, Cody’s onto bigger and better things, like the Money in the Bank briefcase. If all goes to plan, Cody’s journey towards the WWE Undisputed Championship starts tonight – Cody gets the win in a match we’ll remember for some time.

Colin: This must be the end of the feud, right? I mean, what else can they do after this? It’s been enjoyable, but now Cody has to move on and go for the title while still hot. You’d probably think Rollins won’t lose three in a row, right? But that’s what I am predicting. Giving Cody a loss will hurt him right now, and he’s been booked perfectly so far. Let him keep winning and present him as a major contender for the title. Cody wins.

Alright everybody! That’s going to do it for the Pick’em Crew! We hope you enjoy the show tonight, and we’ll see you next time on the PPV Pick’em report – @TheMagnumDA signing off.
