Bobby Lashley co-main evented last night’s Bellator 162 and defeated Josh Appelt, moving to an eight-fight winning streak.
Lashley tapped out Appelt after he locked in a rear-naked choke in the second round, remaining undefeated in his Bellator career. The former TNA champion has an MMA record of 15-2.
After the fight was over, Lashley didn’t challenge any fighter, but went the wrestling route, saying he wants Eddie Edwards next, the reigning TNA champion and the man who defeated Lashley for the belt.
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was at the event since the show was in Memphis, Tennessee, and was shown on screen sitting at cage side. Lashley also did some workouts in front of Jerry Lawler’s bar and grill on Beale Street the day before the show.
