Former TNA champion and current MMA fighter Bobby Lashley has been Bellator’s biggest ratings grabber according to a report on MMAFighting.com.
Noting the 814,000 viewers that tuned in to watch this past Saturday’s Bellator MMA event on Spike, MMAFighting.com says that the peak rating during the show came in for the Bobby Lashley vs James Thompson fight which was seen by 1,048,000 viewers.
“With the exception of people like Ken Shamrock, Tito Ortiz and Kimbo Slice, Lashley, with his pro wrestling fan base, has been consistently Bellator’s biggest ratings draw. Lashley’s fight this past weekend outdrew Ortiz’s championship challenge to Liam McGeary last month,” the report states.
Lashley registered his 7th straight MMA win this past week, finishing off Thompson in under a minute. His MMA record stands at 14-2.
