Christy Hemme departs TNA Wrestling

Another TNA Knockout, Christy Hemme, has decided to part ways from the company, announcing her departure earlier today in a post on her social media accounts.

“SO THANKFUL for wrestling and @IMPACTWRESTLING especially @JohnGaburick for the inspiration toward my future,” Hemme wrote.

The 35 year old has been working for TNA since 2006, first starting as an interviewer and host before transitioning to the wrestling ring. In December 2009 she retired from in-ring competition and a year later started her role as a ring announcer for Impact Wrestling. She joined the TNA creative team in 2014, a position she held until her departure.

Prior to joining TNA, Hemme was employed by WWE, winning the 2004 Diva Search contest. Her popularity landed her a cover on the April 2005 issue of Playboy Magazine and a nude pictorial. She left the WWE in December 2005.
