Drew Galloway debuts on Impact in Glasgow, Scotland

Former WWE Superstar Drew Galloway, who used the name Drew McIntyre, made his TNA debut last night in Glasgow, Scotland, during the first stop of the TNA Maximum Impact tour.

The Scottish wrestler made his surprise appearance at the Impact tapings and came to the aid of TNA British Boot Camp season 2 competitor, Grado. Galloway had a hoodie on when he entered the ring and received a massive pop from the Scottish crowd when he unveiled himself.

“Felt unreal to make an IMPACT in Glasgow. Trust me I’m just getting started. I’ll see everyone in Manchester & London,” Galloway wrote on Twitter after his debut. The TNA website also put a short statement reading, “Tonight, Drew Galloway, once dubbed “The Chosen One,” debuted at the IMPACT Wrestling tapings in Glasgow! More information as we have it.”

Galloway, as Drew McIntyre, signed with the WWE in 2007 and was immediately put on television, first to Smackdown, and then to Raw, before he sent to OVW and later to FCW at the end of the year.

In 2009 he returned as “The Chosen One” but he was never put in any significant storylines and often found himself on the less-important WWE television shows. He was released from WWE in 2014.
