Eric Young “killed off” on Impact, returning to WWE

PWInsider.com is reporting that former two-time Impact champion Eric Young has departed Impact Wrestling and is returning to WWE.

Young was part of yesterday’s Impact television broadcast on AXS TV where he and Cody Deaner appeared in a vignette filmed in a prison. As the Violent By Design members fought each other, Deaner beat Young and then “killed the sickness” by stabbing him to death.

As Deaner sat at a table, Eric Young’s voice is heard saying, “I was the designer, and you are the design.” Deaner then smiles towards the camera and it fades to black.

It was an excellent four-and-a-half minute mini movie which brought an end to Young’s time in Impact.

Young worked for WWE between 2016 and 2020 but was released during the first cut of the pandemic and returned to Impact at Slammiversary.

It’s unknown in what role Young is returning to WWE or when he is expected to start.
