First-ever TNA champ Ken Shamrock returning to Impact next month

The first-ever NWA-TNA champion Ken Shamrock will be returning to the promotion for the first time in 15 long years when Impact tapes their television show in Las Vegas.

The former UFC champion, now 55 years old, signed with TNA back in May 2002 and on their inaugural pay-per-view, he won the vacant NWA title in a Gauntlet for the Gold match. Impact Wrestling recognizes Ken Shamrock as their first ever champion. He did not last long there but returned for another brief run two years later.

The seeds for a Shamrock return were planted on social media when Impact star Moose started ripping on Shamrock, telling him that he should have gotten some stem cells injected in his brain. After several more back and forth tweets, Moose said that Shamrock would not show up because he has no balls anyway.

Shamrock told Moose that he’ll see him in Vegas and it’s moose hunting season at the moment and the World’s Most Dangerous Man has his next victim set.

Impact will do TV tapings at Sam’s Town on September 5 and 6.
