Impact Wrestling has signed the highly-regarded indie wrestler Mike Bailey.
Impact’s EVP Scott D’Amore showed up at the Destiny Wrestling show in Ontario during the weekend and presented “Speedball” Bailey with a deal. Bailey signed the contract in the ring, assisted by Impact’s Josh Alexander who offered his back as a table!
“Despite setbacks and hardships I’ve had in my wrestling career, I only feel blessed & grateful for the love & support that I have received continuously in return for my hard work,” Bailey wrote on Twitter. “I couldn’t do any of it without you all. Thank you. I’ll keep doing my best!”
The 31-year-old from Quebec was banned from entering the United States for five years in 2016 after he tried to enter the country and work for EVOLVE without a proper working visa.
With his ban now over, Bailey will be able to enter the United States with Impact Wrestling serving as his sponsor.
Bailey has been wrestling since 2006 and has worked for many promotions along the years, including CZW, PROGRESS Wrestling, Rev Pro Wrestling, ROH, and others.
