In an interview with Sports Illustrated’s website SI.COM, Jeff Hardy said that he has something big planned for tonight’s match against his brother Matt at Slammiversary and plans to out-perform Shane McMahon’s jump from the top of the Hell In A Cell cage at WrestleMania 32.
“Watching Shane, I knew I could top that,” said Hardy. “Every time I watched Shane, I was inspired to do something better. I’m planning something big for Sunday. I’ll take my own path and do it my own way.”
Jeff said that he still thinks that Mick Foley’s leap from the top of the HIAC match against the Undertaker is the best he’s ever seen and thinks it’s not possible to top but plans to give it a shot anyway and see how far his 38 year old body can go.
“This Sunday at Slammiversary, you’re going to see me put in a WrestleMania performance,” Jeff added. “So what if it’s in front of 2,500 people instead of 100,000? I don’t care. It’s all about the moment. That camera is going to be on, and it’s going to become a professional wrestling memory. That’s really important to me – creating moments that last forever.”
