Jeff Jarrett is the newest TNA Hall of Fame inductee

Jeff Jarrett was announced as the newest inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame during one of the Impact tapings held over the weekend in Orlando, Florida.

Originally, AJ Styles was contacted about being this year’s inductee but he refused due to other commitments in Japan. This left TNA scrambling to find a suitable name to be inducted this year.

Jeff Jarrett co-founded TNA with his father in June 2002, a year after WCW closed up shop. Later that year, Panda Energy, owned by Dixie’s father, acquired a majority interest in TNA and Jarrett remained a minority owner to this day.

Jarrett was involved with TNA from the very first day until he announced his resignation in December 2013. His resignation came in effect on January 6, 2014.

Dixie Carter and Mike Tenay did the honors for Jarrett.
