Kurt Angle ready to return to the ring

The Associated Press is running a story promoting TNA’s debut on Destination America tonight and contains comments from Kurt Angle and TNA President Dixie Carter.

Perhaps the most interesting part of the story was Kurt Angle revealing that he will be returning to the ring and that is going to be his major announcement tonight.

“It looks like I’ll be wrestling here sooner rather than later, if that gives you a hint,” Angle said.

The former WWE and TNA champion has been out of action since May 2014 after he underwent ACL surgery. Since he was unable to compete, TNA booked him as the Executive Director of Wrestling Operations to keep him on television.

Angle admitted that he won’t be returning to the ring full time and will only be wrestling occasionally throughout the year.
