Madison Rayne returns to Impact Wrestling after departing Ring of Honor

A week after she requested to be let go of her Ring of Honor contract, former five-time Impact Knockouts champion Madison Rayne signed a new deal with Impact Wrestling.

Rayne signed a one-year deal with Ring of Honor last September but creative differences forced her to seek alternative employment. For the third time in her career, she will be calling Impact Wrestling her home following a new multi-year deal with the company.

Rayne was hopeful of a WWE deal last year and competed in the second Mae Young Classic tournament under the name Ashley Rayne. However after being eliminated in the first round, she was never called back despite being a standout at an earlier WWE Performance Center tryout.

She wrestled for TNA between 2009 and 2017 and then returned to the company later in 2017 for less than a year. During her time there, Rayne was part of the Beautiful People and won the Knockouts title five times and the Knockouts Tag Team titles twice as well.
