Mickie James gets Impact Knockouts title shot at Bound For Glory

Mickie James is getting a shot at the Impact Knockouts title at Bound For Glory next month.

The former champion, who returned to Impact at Slammiversary after a six-year absence, made her presence felt during Thursday’s television show and requested a title match. The reigning champ, Deonna Purrazzo, told her she needs to earn it but the two came to blows and eventually Scott D’Amore booked the match.

James held the Knockouts title on three different occasions in the past and has been pretty busy since she was released from WWE in April of this year. James helped produce and ran the NWA Empower all-women pay-per-view at the end of August.

Bound For Glory is set for October 23 live from Las Vegas, Nevada.
