Nick Aldis departs Impact Wrestling after short-term deal closes

Nick Aldis has wrapped up his duties with Impact Wrestling, with the former NWA champion participation in last Sunday’s television tapings being his last business with the company.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that Aldis is considering a move to WWE as a producer. He never worked for WWE under any capacity. There were rumors in January that he would be one of the surprise entrants at the Royal Rumble but that never materialized.

Aldis made a surprise return to Impact at Rebellion, months after his run with the NWA ended in controversial circumstances. His deal with Impact was always intended to be a short-term one. He headlined Slammiversary this past Saturday against Alex Shelley for the Impact World title.
