Nick Aldis, the former NWA World Heavyweight champion, returned to Impact Wrestling last night at Rebellion.
Aldis came out to do commentary for the co-main event between Steve Maclin and Kushida and got involved after the match was over.
After Maclin decked Impact President Scott D’Amore, Aldis had a staredown with the new champion. Earlier, Aldis said that he signed a deal with Impact and is going for the title.
Aldis left NWA in January of this year after falling out with Billy Corgan in a real-life feud that made its way online. Corgan suspended Aldis before the NWA pay-per-view in November and said that he would not appear again for the NWA, letting his contract run out.
The 36-year-old Brit, husband of Mickie James, had a run with Impact/TNA from late 2008 to 2015 where he won the TNA World title once and the TNA Tag Team titles twice.
