Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Tessa Blanchard has signed again with TNA Wrestling and is expected to show up on TV imminently.
Blanchard was fired from TNA back in June 2020 while she held the company’s top title.
“IMPACT Wrestling has confirmed that it has terminated its relationship with Tessa Blanchard and stripped her of the IMPACT Wrestling World Championship,” a statement read at the time.
She won the title in January 2020 at the Hard To Kill pay-per-view but then vanished in March after the coronavirus pandemic hit, refusing to attend any television tapings.
She refused to send any taped promos for the TV shows and also refused to drop the title, leading management to fire her. She is the only female to ever hold the company’s world title, generally reserved for just the men.
Blanchard was one half of the CMLL Women’s Tag Team champions and today CMLL issued a statement saying that the titles have been vacated “following the departure of Tessa Blanchard from the company.”
Blanchard has a mixed past and was exposed by her peers for constant bullying against fellow female wrestlers throughout the years.
