Rich Swann taken off the Slammiversary PPV due to head injury

Former WWE Cruiserweight champion Rich Swann has been taken off the Slammiversary XVI card due to an injury. Swann was supposed to participate in a four-way match featuring also Johnny Impact, Fenix, and Taiji Ishimori.

PWInsider.com reported yesterday that Swann was taken to a hospital following a head injury he suffered at the MLW Battle Riot event. He is believed to be suffering from a concussion and was not cleared to returning to the ring so quickly.

Replacing Swann will be Petey Williams and the announcement was made during a live Periscope broadcast from inside the Rebel Entertainment Complex hosted by Josh Mathews.
