Texas death match for Impact’s Knockouts title at Hard To Kill

The Impact Knockouts title match at the upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view on January 8 between champion Mickie James and Deonna Purrazzo has been changed to a Texas death match.

James won the title at the Bound For Glory PPV this past October and the feud between the two has intensified every since. After several brawls, both James and Purrazzo now cannot touch each other until their match next month. This will be the first Texas death match for the Knockouts title in Impact Wrestling.

If Purrazzo regains the title, she will challenge ROH Women’s champion Rok-C in a winner-take-all match in the future. Purrazzo, the current AAA Reina de Reinas champion, appeared on Saturday’s ROH pay-per-view to make the challenge in person.
