TNA loses its Senior Director of Live Events

Rafael Morffi, who worked for TNA as their Senior Director of Live Events, has departed the company to take a job with the soccer club New York Cosmos.

“Thank you @IMPACTWRESTLING talent, staff, @TNADixie @JohnGaburick for the opportunity & honor to represent your company in the trenches,” he wrote on Twitter. “Very excited today to begin my official first day at work with the most iconic soccer club in the USA @NYCosmos.“

Morffi, who spent a year and a half at TNA, was the chief road and tour manager for domestic and international live events, and was in charge in supervising event operations and production on-site at shows. He also helped coordinate media interviews to publicize all live events and escorting talent during event media and sponsor appearances.

Prior to joining TNA, Morffi held a similar role at WWE and was the Senior Director of Live Event Marketing, a position he held for nearly 12 years.
