Okada signed three-year deal with AEW worth over $13 million

Tokyo Sports is reporting that Kazuchika Okada has signed a three-year deal with AEW worth a total of $13.5 million.

That means that the former IWGP Heavyweight champion will be making around $4.5 million per year while he’s wrestling full time with the promotion, becoming one of the highest-paid athletes in the company.

There were rumors that WWE did offer Okada a deal but it was nowhere close to what AEW offered. Okada made his full-time debut on Dynamite this week and joined The Young Bucks as part of The Elite.

He will have his first match on tomorrow’s Collision, an episode which was taped yesterday in Duluth, Georgia, in front of just over 2,000 fans.
