30 entrants, same rules confirmed for the all-women Royal Rumble match

The all-women Royal Rumble will be having the same rules as the men’s Rumble match. The rules of the match were confirmed by Raw General Manager Kurt Angle on the show last night.

There will be 30 females stepping in the ring come January 28 and the only way for elimination is via over the top rope and both feet hitting the floor. The winner of the Royal Rumble will get a Women’s title match at WrestleMania.

The WWE main roster does not have 30 women currently and with both champions not participating, the number will be even less. Each brand has 11 women so counting out the champions, there are 20 individuals. The other ten entrants will be a combination of NXT stars and surprise entrants, possibly former stars or even some from the independent circuit.
