Andrade confirms reports that he requested his WWE release

Addressing the news that he has requested his release from WWE, Andrade confirmed the reports in a short tweet.

“The rumors are true and I don’t know what the future holds but I want to make my dreams come true,” he wrote. “Thank you for giving me so much support these last days.”

The former NXT champion requested to be let go last week at Monday Night Raw, a request which was swiftly denied by management. Andrade was not backstage at Raw this week either.

Charlotte Flair, who is dating Andrade in real life, also pushed for a storyline between the two but her ideas were shot down.
