Battle royal announced for Evolution for a future title shot

Evolution will feature a battle royal with all the women who do not have a match on the card where the winner will be receiving a future title shot depending on which brand they are on.

Just like at every WrestleMania, WWE tries to get most – if not everyone – on the card and with Evolution being the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, the thinking is pretty much the same: get every woman on the roster a spot on the card.

The battle royal, which was announced on Raw last night, has 14 participants so far with more to be added although no exact number was given. Those already announced are Alicia Fox, Asuka, Billie Kay, Carmella, Dana Brooke, Ember Moon, Lana, Mandy Rose, Naomi, Nia Jax, Peyton Royce, Sonya Deville, Tamina, and Torrie Wilson.

Wilson is so far the only former star announced for this battle royal and joins Trish Stratus and Lita on the card. Wilson also took part in the first women Royal Rumble earlier this year.
