Battle royal on Smackdown ends in a draw

The Smackdown battle royal to determine the number one contender for the WWE title ended in a draw after the final two – Luke Harper and AJ Styles – eliminated each other.

The finish did not go over well with the fans in the arena especially after Smackdown General Manager Daniel Bryan announced that there will be no winner and the match is a draw.

AJ Styles touched the floor first even though WWE cameras were not in the best position to capture the obvious botched finish. Unlike previous battle royal draw finishes, there were no replays provided. The footage later uploaded on YouTube of the battle royal shows a different angle of the finish from the opposite side of the ring, blocking the view of who touched the floor first.

AJ Styles and Luke Harper will now wrestle next week on Smackdown to determine the number one contender and a spot in one of the main events of WrestleMania.
