Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in heated backstage confrontation following Smackdown

PWInsider.com is reporting that there was a heated backstage confrontation after Smackdown between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair after the title swap segment went off the rails a little bit.

Mike Johnson wrote that before the segment took place, Charlotte Flair expressed her concern that she did not want to look weak but eventually went on with the scripted plan.

When it was showtime, Johnson reports that Flair was supposed to hand over the title to Becky but rather than doing that, she threw the title on the mat when Lynch reached over. Sonya Deville told Flair to pick up the title and hand it over and eventually Flair complied.

Lynch was supposed to hand over the title too but Lynch followed Flair and tossed the title over. Flair had to pick up the title and continue the segment which involved Sasha Banks coming out.

Once everyone reached the backstage area, Johnson adds that there was a heated confrontation between Lynch and Flair where Lynch accused Flair of trying to disrespect her and making her look bad on television. While loud words were exchanged, no one threw any punches and the situation did not escalate more.

Several hours after the show ended, Andrade El Idolo, the boyfriend of Charlotte Flair, tweeted “Fu… WWE !!!!!”
