Becky Lynch waves goodbye to fans after Raw, free agency on June 1

Becky Lynch waved goodbye to fans last night and blew a kiss before she exited the ring in what could be her last match for a while.

Lynch’s contract expires on May 31 and will be officially a free agent come June 1 as she has not renewed her WWE deal.

The former champion noted a week before WrestleMania in an interview that WWE had not offered her a new deal yet and was coy about her future although she said it’s unlikely it would be her last WrestleMania.

The word going around is that Lynch will be taking a hiatus from wrestling and then return whenever she’s ready, although where remains to be seen.

Lynch, due to her popularity, can command a big-money contract and could very well end up with the biggest contract for a female in professional wrestling. Charlotte Flair currently has the biggest female contract in WWE while Mercedes Mone has the biggest female contract in AEW.

The 37-year-old has been employed by WWE since 2013.

She posted a photo of herself walking out of the arena with the words “to be continued” on social media after the show.
