Best WWE Moment returning at ESPN’s ESPY Awards

WWE will have a presence at this year’s ESPN’s ESPY Awards with Best WWE Moment returning as a category. ESPN originally included WWE in the awards in 2019 but last year the awards took a different tone due to the coronavirus and the category was eliminated.

Currently, there are 16 nominations for the WWE award and they have been divided into a tournament-style elimination. Voting is now open for the first round eliminations while voting for quarter finals will start on June 21 and final four voting on June 25.

The nominations are: Dominik Mysterio makes in-ring debut at SummerSlam vs Roman Reigns returns to SmackDown and aligns with Paul Heyman; Pat McAfee confronts and punts Adam Cole vs Goldberg returns to challenge Drew McIntyre for WWE title; Keith Lee breaks Adam Cole’s record 403-day reign as NXT Champion at The Great American Bash vs Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair become the first black women to main event WrestleMania; Edge wins the 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble vs Kevin Owens stuns Logan Paul at WrestleMania; Sasha Banks wins the Smackdown Women’s title at Hell in a Cell vs Randy Orton sets The Fiend on fire at TLC; Undertaker celebrates his 30th anniversary and gives his final farewell at Survivor Series vs Bobby Lashley wins WWE title; Bayley turns on Sasha Banks vs Bad Bunny teams with Damian Priest at WrestleMania; Bianca Belair wins the Women’s Royal Rumble vs The Miz cashes in MITB at Elimination Chamber.

The awards will air live on Saturday, July 10 at 8PM ET on ABC.
