Bull Dempsey released from NXT

28 year old NXT wrestler Bull Dempsey – real name James Smith – was released by WWE today according to his Twitter, two and a half years after signing a developmental deal.

“It’s been real @WWENXT. Amazing group of coaches & coworkers & a helluva boss. Thank you for the opportunity @TripleH. See ya down the road,” Dempsey wrote. “That being said, I’m available for bookings, appearances, birthdays, bar mitzvahs and everything in between!” He gave his booking address as well which is BookBullDempsey@gmail.com.

Dempsey signed on June 2013 and made his NXT debut a couple of months later. While he was never part of something big in NXT, he did wrestle at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4-Way, beating Mojo Rawley. Lately he ran with the gimmick of “Bull-Fit.
