“Catastrophic medical condition” likely cause of Warrior’s death

Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports spoke with Scottsdale police spokesman Sergeant Mark Clark about The Ultimate Warrior’s death and he was issued the following statement.

“On April 8 at 5:50PM 54-year-old “Warrior” James B Hellwig collapsed while walking with his wife to their car at the Gainy Suites Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. Scottsdale Fire transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after arrival. At this point in the investigation, it appears as though a catastrophic medical condition caused his death.”

Warrior passed away yesterday after he arrived from a weekend in New Orleans where he was honored at the Hall of Fame ceremony, at WrestleMania, and then spoke on Monday Night RAW live.
