Chael Sonnen says he has been invited to WrestleMania weekend

During an interview with TSN’s Off The Record, former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen said that he has been invited by WWE for the WrestleMania 31 weekend along with Wanderlei Silva for a meeting.

Sonnen explained that he got a call from WWE and told him to they want him to come out at the Hall of Fame to talk about stuff, stuff which he said they did not elaborate on.

“If they are buying me a plane ticket and they’re giving me a ticket to the show, I do enjoy that product,” Sonnen said, adding that he knows his UFC rival Wanderlei Silva was also invited.

“I don’t know if he’s accepted and I don’t know if the two are related, but there you go,” Sonnen added.

During his UFC career, Sonnen often used to cut promos WWE-style on his opponents to promote his fight.

When PWInsider.com reached out to WWE for verification, WWE said, There has been no invitation from WWE for Chael Sonnen to attend WrestleMania.”
