CM Punk officially announced for Smackdown this Friday at the Allstate Arena

CM Punk has been officially announced to appear on Smackdown this coming Friday live from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois.

While Punk is a Raw guy, this was said to be a “one-time” only thing since the show happens to be from his hometown and Punk will announce that he is cleared to resume in-ring action.

It is going to be a packed house again at the Allstate Arena, where over 13,400 tickets have already been distributed according to WrestleTix and more sections opened behind the stage. While not the full arena is open, it’s going to be one of the largest Smackdown crowds this year and with Punk now officially on the card, hundreds of more tickets will be sold in the next few days.

WWE held Raw at the same arena on March 25 and packed in over 15,000 fans so to hold another show in the same place just three months later and still be able to nearly match the same number is pretty impressive.
