Cody Rhodes will be undergoing surgery to repair his torn pec on Thursday, June 9 and will be out of action for a couple of months. The date was first reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling.
Rhodes got injured during a weightlifting exercise but still managed to miraculously work his Hell In A Cell m match against Seth Rollins on Sunday night. Rhodes main evened the premium live event, his first one since coming back at WrestleMania.
Considering Rhodes tore his pec muscle completely off the bone, he is scheduled to be out for a while as a high-grade tear will require close to six months for full strength.
Rhodes said that he’ll have more about his future on Raw tonight although as of this writing WWE hasn’t announced anything yet for the post-HIAC show.
