Cody Rhodes wins the men’s 2023 Royal Rumble match

Cody Rhodes went from undesirable to undeniable to the WrestleMania main event as the former AEW EVP won the men’s Royal Rumble match.

Cody entered in #30 and received a big pop from the San Antonio crowd who even sang the lyrics to his theme song.

It was Cody, Gunther, Seth Rollins, and Logan Paul who were the final four. Paul eliminated Rollins first and then Cody hit the Cross Rhodes on Paul and threw him out.

Gunther, who came in at #1, went toe-to-toe with Rhodes and the two even had a match to end the Rumble which concluded with Cody clotheslining Gunther over the top rope.

The American Nightmare then celebrated in the ring and did the customary pointing to the WrestleMania sign, which this time did not catch fire after the pyro set off.

This was Cody’s first time back in front of the WWE fans since the night after Hell In A Cell back in early June as he recovered from a torn pec.
