Coronavirus outbreak hits the WWE Performance Center and NXT

Jon Alba of Spectrum Sports 360 in Orlando is reporting that WWE suffered a COVID-19 outbreak at the Performance Center this month.

“Source indicates some have gotten relaxed with mask wearing, especially in spots where some people congregate and there was concern over that,” Alba wrote in a post on Twitter, adding that several people still tested positive this past weekend and one of the WWE PC coaches is thought to be the one who accidentally spread it.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling also adds to the story that PC classes were cancelled due to the outbreak and the incident may have “affected creative” for NXT. NXT stars train at the WWE Performance Center every day.

The outbreak happened on the week of September 9 and the spread led to several changes.
