Dabba-Kato returns at Vengeance Day and turns on Apollo Crews

Dabba-Kato, the former muscle man for Apollo Crews, returned at Vengeance Day last night and cost Crews his match against Carmelo Hayes.

The man formerly known as Commander Azeez came out to even the odds for Crews but the former Intercontinental champion got distracted and lost the match. Afterward, both men hugged it out but it was just a swerve, as Dabba-Kato then chokeslammed Crews.

The 33-year-old Nigerian-Polish star aligned with Crews at WrestleMania, helping Crews win the IC title from Big E. He was reintroduced to the audience as Commander Azeez. After both were sent back to NXT in June of last year, Dabba-Kato disappeared from TV until last night’s appearance.

He has been working for WWE since 2016 and was part of the short-lived Raw Underground concept that went nowhere.
