Daniel Bryan to undergo neck surgery this week

Current WWE World Heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan is undergoing neck surgery this Thursday and will be out of action for a couple of weeks.

Bryan announced the news during a segment on RAW last night and said that he would be back, with no mention on the state of the WWE World Heavyweight title.

The surgery is not major to keep him out for months and the belief is Bryan will be ready to go by the time Money In The Bank is on pay-per-view, with some even suggesting he’ll be good for the upcoming Payback pay-per-view, although that is pretty close since it is only two weeks away.

Bryan has had some rough times ever since becoming champion at WrestleMania XXX, first finding out that his father passed away when he was on his honeymoon and then his 8 year old friend Connor Michalek passed away from cancer two weeks later, and now getting news that he needs neck surgery.

This surgery will keep the champ out of the big European tour which kicks off tomorrow.
