Danny Burch out for six months with shoulder injury

Danny Burch will be out for a minimum of six months as he recovers from a separated shoulder injury that he suffered last week on NXT.

The 39-year-old British star was defending the NXT Tag Team titles with his partner Oney Lorcan when he landed badly on his shoulder during the match. He was attended to by WWE medical personnel at ringside and was not allowed to step back in the ring, with Lorcan finishing the match alone.

Despite Lorcan picking up the win for his team against Kross and Balor, NXT General Manager William Regal announced this past Tuesday that the titles will be vacated as Lorcan cannot defend the titles by himself.

The new champions will be crowned at NXT Takeover: Stand & Deliver with MSK, The Grizzled Young Veterans, and Legado del Fantasma wrestling in a triple threat tag team match.
