DirecTV not airing WrestleMania 31 on traditional pay-per-view

There are no plans for DirecTV to carry WrestleMania on pay-per-view next week as the company is sticking to its decision not to carry WWE pay-per-views following the introduction of the WWE Network.

DirecTV’s last WWE pay-per-view broadcast was WrestleMania XXX one year ago and just like DISH Network they have eliminated WWE from their programming lineup as a protest for the inclusion of pay-per-views on the WWE Network for the $9.99 monthly price.

While two of the largest PPV providers will not be offering the show, several others including Broighthouse, CableOne, Optimum, Charter, Xfinity, Cox, Enology, Mediacom, RCN, Suddenlink, Time Warner Cable, Verizon FiOS, and InDemand will be airing the show on traditional pay-per-view.
