DISH Network to offer WrestleMania XXX on pay-per-view

In a statement issued to Wrestling-Online.com today from DISH Network’s corporate communications office, it was confirmed that the company will indeed carry the WrestleMania XXX pay-per-view on its system.

“DISH will offer WWE’s WrestleMania pay-per-view event, airing Sunday, April 6, on channel 455 and 456 in HD and SD, respectively. DISH will continue to evaluate future WWE pay-per-view events on an event-by-event basis,” the statement said.

DISH was the first pay-per-view provider to dump WWE pay-per-views after WWE launched its WWE Network citing unfair competition. DISH did not carry the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in protest even though that particular show did not air on the Network.

By not airing WrestleMania XXX, DISH was set to lose on a nice sum of money as it’s the biggest grossing WWE pay-per-view of the year and PPV providers split the PPV income 50/50 with WWE.
