ESPN sending SportsCenter to WrestleMania 33

At today’s SXSW panel between WWE, ESPN, Facebook, and Mashable, it was revealed that ESPN will be taking SportsCenter to WrestleMania.

This will be the second year in a row that ESPN is taking SportsCenter to WrestleMania. For WrestleMania 31 they did some more coverage than usual on television but the company did not send any reporters to the show. ESPN first started their WWE coverage by sending Jonathan Coachman to SummerSlam 2015 for live updates and then ESPN followed that by creating the WWE section on the ESPN.COM website. Nowadays, former WWE employee The Coach hosts the Off The Top Rope segment every Wednesday on SportsCenter, interviewing a different WWE Superstar every week.

The SXWX panel earlier today was titled Brand Building Through Live Video and featured Ryan Spoon from ESPN, Bob Gruters from Facebook, Robyn Peterson from Mashable, and Stephanie McMahon from WWE.
