Extreme Rules 2016 main event set as all McMahons agree to match

The next WWE pay-per-view, Extreme Rules, is only three weeks away and the main event was announced last night at the end of the Payback pay-per-view.

After a count-out and a disqualification endings, Roman Reigns eventually successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight title by pinning AJ Styles. But WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon wasn’t happy and before the pay-per-view ended he asked his children if AJ Styles deserves a rematch, a decision which both of them agreed with.

And just like that, the main event was announced – Roman Reigns vs AJ Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight title in an Extreme Rules match.

During Payback, Vince McMahon gave the power to run Monday Night Raw to both Shane and Stephanie so it looks like Shane O’Mac is sticking around for longer than expected.
